V6 or V8?
Warmed over 318 with a 4speed OD I do not know what is in the engine but this thing will get it. I bought it from the original owners daughter after he passed away. It also corners like a sports car. He knew what he was doing.

It has headers Edlebrock intake and 4 barrel carb really comes alive about 2500 rpm. I haven't revved it and dumped the clutch but just taking off and punching it is FUuuuuunnnnnnnn

Hey Tike and Keefer Dave will be up later around 11 to put the top on Rons Monty. Can be a good thing to know how to do it right. Just FYI
Wish i was there, i have 2 that need to be done.
Have to decide...

Ok so I remember you guys talking about bread in a can. And I just chalked it up to a mid-western/east coast thing. Well i’ll Be danged, it’s out west too!

:D Cal Poly San Luis Obispoo Ag Department has a tractor pulling team. Each year during Open House, the former Poly Royal fiasco, they have a tractor pull event. Ag kids run 2 Allison (I think) powered tractors.
Them Dual Allison’s are rare to see much anymore these days. Mainly cause their B29 engines and nobody makes anything for them. Most around here are running Blown Hemis. There’s a few with Jet engines

They've had those Allison powered tractors for 25 yrs that I know of. A few years ago there was a half dozen pulls across the state. I looked earlier this year, all I could find was the Poly Open House event.

Oh yeah. They’ve been around for a LONG time. Just saying there’s less and less of them pulling now.

Next question, does it look like I have the right upper control on in the right side?

Half of one fender fabbed up and other side is ready to mount.
I slotted where i wanted to bend, left a few tabs to keep it square
And welded it up. These should be tough!

I just got back from installing the vinyl top on Ron’s Monte. It came out well, but I am beat. 5 hrs driving round trip with 5 hours of work in between.

Beer time!
