I will come by
Don’t understand your spot deal
It is your spot
I have always had a great
Relationship with those folks
Your lucky day or his bad day
Go figure

Yeah, he kinda copped an attitude when he asked me what l was driving. I told him a 2012 Nissan Sentra. Then he asked me where l am going to put "all my parts" that lm bringing.
I proceeded to tell him " in the trunk and back seat". It is an 8 hour trip there. I AM bringing parts to sell. I/we will be "staying" at our spot.

Then, -We will be leaving mid-day Saturday to make a 6 hour trip to Western N.Y. to drop her off to spend a week for graduation etc.
I get to spend a few hours there and then drive 12 hours back to N.C. to be back to work on Monday.

I guess we are all supposed to drive old Mopars everywhere.
Which is fine, but.......

Not to mention oil change and 4 new tires on the car BEFORE, I leave the driveway to even head his way.
Kinda ticked me off l guess.............

Me and my cousin thought about doing that, renting a spot, but there is plenty of close parking right outside the gate for $10 a day.

I am coming in from San Diego. Good times there for sure...

Which is fine, if you are just going to walk around. But we are staying a couple of days and nites. Gotta figure where ya gonna sleep as well. I'm not spending $150 a nite (most likely 3 nite minimum) for a room.

Back in Jan we booked a camp site at what looks like a really nice family campground called Dogwood Acres in Newville, PA. It's less than 20 minutes from Carlisle and $33 a night for a tent camp site. Staying Thr, Fri, Sat night for $99 - just paid them for the booking yesterday.

Thanks for the info. It really is appreciated.
But we will be staying on spot. Nothing new to us. Do it all the time at other swap meets. We are pretty simple folks. Dont need anything too fancy.
My biggest concern right now is having enough room to get out of my spot to be able to go to William's Grove on Friday nite ! !

My request is it cannot get here soon enough.
My cousin and I did get a spring time mopar fix, with the classic mopar show about a month ago at National Trails Dragway in OH, small swap meet and drag racing.
Good show, but about 2 o'clock it got so hot we left.

You FABO guys speak nothing of getting a tent. The guys @ FBBO are getting a tent and asking you too register as a menber. After like 25 or 30 members the tent is FREE. I don't get why someone did not combine ALL of Joeys sites into one tent. With that many peeps we would get a free tent and figure a way to set up a BBQ and fill some coolers.
Also no talk of racing at South Mountan Raceway 20 minutes from the fairgrounds.Race day id Friday, leave the fair grounds by 1pm and racing starts at 3pm.
Thursday is the kick off show.Used to be at the MOPAR dealer in Mechanicsville and now it's at the expo center across from gate "K". See you there!!! Check out the FBBO tent and we will do something huge next year!!

Someone said this before about registering as a member. I registered back in Jan and don't remember, but would have put FABO if there was a box to put club. I think I tried to look a month or so ago when someone posted about the tent. Can someone post how to check your registration if there is a way to check on-line. I'll gladly check and update my registration if I knrw how; and like many I am also a member on fbbo so I can register as that as well...

If any of the members over here on this site would like to stop in and introduce yourself during the meet and greet at the tent during the Carlisle weekend, just let me know and I will include your name on the roll call listing.

As HEMI-ITIS posted, we want this to be an opportunity for you guys to be able to meet up and put a face to a name. To share stories, ideals and the love of this hobby. I know that some members are on both sites.

Here is a link to the FBBO posting: FBBO Tent at Carlisle this Year ?

We are basically down to the last four weeks before we all head out to Carlisle. So let me know if you should have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,
Richard

I'll be thinking about you guys at the show. I will be prepping for heart surgery on the 17th. :BangHead::BangHead:

Bring a wagon to put parts in.
Normally I end up making several trips back out to the car to put parts in, and grab something to drink.
And wear your most comfortable pair of shoes.
..........................................

I thought I saw on Carlysle's website that you can get a cart onsite. I'll research and post results.

For anyone that wants to be on the roll call sheet for attending the Carlisle show, I have copied and updated it to reflect those who have responded to the FBBO tent posting on this site. If anyone wants to be listed on the roll call, just respond with a message or posting here to include your name on the list.

I will keep it under that posting as it is specific to the tent ideal. Before I head out to Carlisle, I will post on both areas so as to hopefully we can gain as much exposure as possible.

Thanks,
Richard

Would not be Carlisle with out rain

In 16 years of going I can think of only 2 times with no rain

Keeping the temp under 90 would be good too... lol
X2 I almost passed out there 2 years ago, bought a lemonade in the fairgrounds, it was super sweet, about 15 minutes later, I had to sit down fast, almost fell over.
It was hot, normally all I drink there is Gatorade, but I ran out and bought the lemonade, it must have been the heat and sugar in the drink.
