I saw this at the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln NE. Not sure what it is or where it was used. It had a guys name written on the timing cover and Keith Black stickers on the valve covers. Any one have any info on the engine?
Thanks fun police.

Look at the size of the exhaust ports!
It's fuel injected and has a engine plate, I'm thinking daily driver!

A member or two here have that on there build in the past. That there be a super hard thing to find. Other makes? Made new today.

I missed that when we were there!
Look how thin the timing cover is...gear drive?
That would be neat in a "T" bucket or Colt!

In one of my article links it shows different heads. The Mopar heads may be an early combination.

X heads.
There is so much more material in an X head than the others. I've seen the floors wiped out with extrude/media honing or porting... still never hit water, damn near no short turn just a curve from seat to port window floor.

That appears to be Hilborn injection. I don't know about the rest. @Bighead440 might know what it is.

Looks like maybe an old Silver Crown type of asphalt sprint engine?

That is one funky looking water pump assembly! Jada might me on to something! Maybe it is a race boat engine and that pumps water externally? I'm just guessing I have no clue.

Could be. The water pump looks hydraulically driven has hydraulic fittings on it and the pump has 3 outlets.

Here is the red tag and the taped name on the timing cover. Bob Klein? The engine was behind a glass wall, best images I could capture.
