Members. My AM radio is not what I would like in my 65 Dart restoration. I would like to have an AM/Fm radio with an auxiliary plug to add Sirius or an external CD adaptability. Would anyone have any recommendations as to what company, what radio, and etc. I did have my dash bezels reconditioned, and I DO NOT want to cut into anything on the dash nor do I want to hide a modern day radio in the glove box. I would like the appearance of the original radio, but upgraded with the options mentioned. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks to all FABO members for the ongoing help. sgrip65

I have had a Custom Autosound USA-1 in my car for several years. I modified a factory faceplate (which I know you said you do not want to do) to fit the USA-1 prior to sending the faceplate to be vaccum plated. I also had to file the radio opening in the dash slightly wider. I also used the factory Mopar knobs on the Custom Autosound radio. The unsuspecting never notice that the radio isn't what came with the car. (I also had a stock feceplate plated in case I want to put back the original radio one day) I used to use the AUX input to attach a walkman style CD player but now have a bluetooth receiver attached and it works great. I would attach a photo but currently have the dash disassembled for some wiring updates and under dash reconditioning.

These folks will put a modern radio in your case but that is very expensive.

Keeping my 67 a radio delete look with a hidden audio setup otherwise its something i would into. They even have AM faceplates that say chrysler transaudio so when its shut off you dont see the digital part, only the fake AM faceplate. What would be cooler would be if the shafts were splined to accept the OEM knobs. They may be, but havent heard of anybody being able to do that.
