I just wanted a simple center console to hold sunglasses and a cup if coffee. Started to plan on building one when I found this one made by EMPI for about $55. Just had to trim the back side a little and I glued a paint cap to the underneath to close off the shifter hole and a couple of small screws to mount it.

Now this is a center console for a VW, made from plastic, but it works for me.

I wish someone would repro the Duster console. There are so many more Dusters then B & E bodies might be more lucrative to make A body console.
 
Looks great! It is nice to have some modern conveniences like a place to hold a coffee while cruising. I made this one for my son's dart with the console. Easy, cheap and he can remove it anytime he wants. Holds drinks in place even when you get on it!!

Looks good, I need something for my 66 Dart GT. I bought a cheap 'organizer' type but it is a bit wide. That one looks like a good fit. Can you share a link to the actual console? It appears TMI makes a LOT of options.

I got it at our Canadian Tire auto centre, I'm sure most auto centres, even Walmart would carry them. It was only 15 bucks Canadian, so maybe 3.50 us?? I hot glued some 1 &1/14" package foam on the back and it slides right in and out between the console and seat. No need for "sir" , my dad's not around!! Hope this helps.
