Are MP air cleaner sill made and sold? I looked for a dress up kit for my 440 project and everywhere says out of stock. I was looking for the aluminum black one with matching valve covers. Any other suggestions for a similar set?

Crap,
I just saw you are working on a big block, it is probably the same thing, just a part number change.

The air cleaners have been unavailable for awhile. I sold one of mine about a year ago. I had several people message me about it so I decided to sell my second one which was in a little worse shape.

I could have easily sold 10 more if I had them, they're pretty sought after. Both of mine went to Canada!

Summit still had the air cleaners, as of a month ago with the new part number, if I remember right the price went up to $90.

Good luck. MP doesn't have much anymore. It's spotty on any of the big block stuff.

Did they change the design any?

I can't find anything about a new part number or new style. The JEEP cast air cleaner is still available. Summit, jegs, mancini, bouchillon, classic industries, etc all show unavailable. One of the sites I saw it listed on said it has been on backorder since 2016. Seems like FCA is slowly but surely doing away with supporting the older mopar performance stuff.

FCA has no interest in the older stuff. I still work at a dealership and even if I look up a P/N it will show unavailable. Your best bet is to find an old one or NOS. If anyone would have one it may just be Mancini but really Mopar Performance exists only in name. Sad but true. They have much bigger fish to fry and the older performance things they don't care about.

I was a Parts Mgr in a Chrysler dealership until 2016.
Mopar Performance couldn't care less for the older stuff.
And when they did release something, Mancini, Summit and Jegs seemed like they got 1st dibs on everything.
I had a customer order (4) 426 Hemi Short blocks from me. I was able to one. The other three were still on back order when I left.

FCA their performance $$ is in the current performance cars, not that hard to figure! They make their$ making and selling new cars/parts, not stuff from the last century!!

I agree. Everybody else has cornered the market on repop stuff for these 50 year old relics Plus everything in their catalog is overpriced, and redundant. Also these repop companies pay royalties to chrysler for popping out "authorized" mopar replacement parts anyways, no need to compete with somebody paying royalties to you.

I used to love looking thru their catalogs when i was young. Now i could care less. Scored an original 50 year old black wrinkle 69 383 Road Runner low restriction air cleaner at Pate swap meet for $100. Will sandblast it and black wrinkle it again. Gonna put a 340 4 barrel piepan on it, and install it on my kids Cuda.

Thanks. How about similar suggestions of a different brand.
