I put a new tank in my 71 swinger ...because the gas turned to gum, the sender I just soaked and coat hangered clear and I was good. Tank I had in it originally was dual shell, some anti swell version deal couldn't boil it.

Everything's shot . Gas was in there so long it ate the sending unit. Like I said not worth the time messing with it.
