Starting a BB Duster project

Any thoughts on using this old air grabber type air cleaner? It looks like it will fit and work. This is a beat up unit that I picked up from a guy who was cleaning out the garage. It has had a rough life but I think I might be able to salvage enough of it to work on my engine.
