Ok, posted a similar thread last year. Anyone taking or have taken a road trip in their Mopar so far this year?

Not yet...nothing more than 50 or 60 miles so far....
But I'm gonna - LOVE driving my car!

Jeff

I will be driving my Barracuda to St.Ignace MI. for their car show , about a six hour drive.

Just last March (3/19) I did 2500 miles Lompoc California to Astoria Oregon and back.
Last weekend I went to a show in Cupertino, 650 mile round trip.
Heading to Oregon this weekend, probably not taking the Barracuda this time.

Went to the Olympic peninsula last year, about 600 mile RT. Driving my car every day now and plan on road tripping back to the Olympic peninsula again this year.
I feel my car is good for any round trip I want to make but without AC my wife will only ride with me on short trips. I'll put between 3K & 5K on my car this year by November.

I've put some miles on my Duster, but nothing so far out of the way that I needed a hotel room.
I am driving it to Mopar Nationals in August. Thinking about a couple shows as well.

I just returned from a road trip purchase. In the past I've had very good success purchasing vehicles from Southern states. (Minnesota is tough on vehicles. Thus better conditions are south.) However. My luck ran out. I bought a replacement tow vehicle out of Arkansas. A 2007 Ram 3500 Cummins dually pickup. Flew down and plan to drive back. Thunderstorms canceled all connecting flights to Little Rock at Dallas airport. Finally got to Little Rock next day. To have tornados and flooding block northern routes. Finally got out of Arkansas the following day to have electrical issues with truck in Missouri. Turned out to be minor. And was back on road the next morning. What should have been a 2 day venture turned into 5 days.

I'm staying local for awhile now. Now that I can tow drag car. So local track only!

driving 3600 mile RT, So. Cal to San Antonio and back...yeah, Texas in the summer! :realcrazy: Ill be driving the 2012 Grand Caravan...new tires, new back brakes...AC charged. Should be a boring drive on the 10 east.

Caravan? Family and kids in tow? Now I don't feel so bad on my ^^ trip.

yup, 3 kids and the wife. 18,13 and 4. 18 will share some driving for sure.
Oh man. What could go wrong? Well, good luck and safe travels. Personally? I would fly with the wife. And Fed ex the kids to your destination. But that's me, after the last time I took the clan on a road trip. And that was only half the distance you described.

Zip tie drags in Tucson from Riverside Ca. Went to Irwindale to meet up with the Roadkill crew first and then headed out. Had an absolute blast. About 1200miles total. Doing it again next year.

I’m leaving MN for LA on June 18th. I’m buying a 65 Dart and driving back Route 66 with my niece and nephew.
Should be about 2500 miles...Ha!
Should be an adventure for sure!

Drove my Swinger 4 hours north to Mopars in the Park a couple weekends ago. Had a great time!

It's going to be an epic trip!!

I'm loading up the family and going to Morro Bay Tuesday. Highway 1 oughtta be fun in the wagon, I get to test the new shocks and brakes.

Temping on going to the powercruise event in Minnesota from ca but would like to put ac in my car because it’s gonna be hot as balls driving all the way over there in August.

I'll be heading out to Volo, Illinois in a largely untested car. Carb is getting cleaned now, new tires went on, and new tie rods will be going in. 1000 miles round trip with two car shows and two nights of hanging out in friends shops. Sadly, that's it for the year for me.
