Mitch’s taste in music back in the 70’s wasnt all that bad...

If you wanna sell those 8 tracks, let me know what you got. Got a buddy who collects and restores 8 tracks who might be interested

Well sitting here waiting to go. Cheryl is VP for a state lawyer association.
This weekend is their big conference and tonight the fun starts. Casual dinner at the Evil Kenevil Museum, then a beer and wine tasting party.
Tomorrow night another dinner, and another party. I hate it, but someone has to do it...sigh

I remember riding in the back of dad’s pickup truck(with a cap) and had an 8-track rigged up to play music.
Triumph and cheap trick were the 2 i recall for the trip to grand forks. Had a bench seat in the back, was quite comfortable.

The f150 i fixed the other day was picked up, not often i stand in front of a federal judge. Owner’s nephew. Actually someone i went to school with.
He was chief magistrate for manitoba and stepped up from there.

It was Black Sabbath for me! The good thing about Sabbath, the distortion is part of the fun! And believe me, 8 tracks were as far from Hi Fi as you could get!!!
At least in my old dodge truck!

Got a box with some of those same tapes somewhere...I think. Almost all hand-me-downs from friend's older brothers and such.
Only had a few to start with and music on AM 'round there was almost dead so a few played got played alot.
Foghat's Midnight Oil remained a favorite from then, and it might have been Chicago IX that didnt get too overplayed..
Later 8tracks that remained fairly fresh included Townsend's Empty Glass and bunch of Who, Stones, Willie Nyle, Dylan and other mixed tapes.

If I had had a Skynard or Eagles 8track, definately would have worn them out.
Wore out a cassette with Marshal Tucker and Allman Bros...

I guess I won't be goin' to see The Fabulous Thunderbirds at the Paso Mid State Fair. Those darn NARC/King of the West Sprint Cars are in town that day. Damn the luck
