2019 Hot Rod Power Tour

-
I am all signed up for the Long Haul. All things being equal, I am making the trip in my Dart. Worse case, I will have to pull out my 2018 T/A. My father is also trekking along in his 07 Daytona. And my 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter are coming along for the ride.

So far still going two more stops.
Seen some nice stuff, meet some nice people.

Got back Saturday night after doing the entire tour. 2600 miles round trip.

Had an awesome time, once again.

My Dart even made it onto the HOTROD website a few times! These are the pictures they posted on HOTROD.com

The beautiful '55 is owned by my Power Tour friends Kitty and Steve from Tennessee

Car looks great Ed, I am sure you and Chris had a great time - apologies for missing the Tour at Indy to Norwalk - will shoot for another Tour!

I had a great time as well. Here we stopped for a photo shoot between Fort Wayne and Norwalk.

Just got pump replaced yesterday - ouch - makes buying Mopar parts look cheap! Just have some additional cleanup to do - fortunately, nothing major ruined.

Working on it, but running into resistance from the Boss because of Carlisle and Columbus! Have you worked up your mileage stats and did you blow your beer budget this year?

So the HRPT drove right through my home town of Burlington NC. Me and a few friends setup on a corner and watched cars come by for nearly 6hours. It was awesome!!! I definitely need to get a car ready for it next year!

We stopped in Burlington N.C. to check out Herb McCandless' museum once again.

I hope you've been there?

We see Herb and Jr all the time around town. Nice guys. Burlington is also where Sox&Martin setup shop. They were all local boys. My dad worked with Ronnie's cousin back in the '60s, my Aunt was friends with one of Ronnie's daughters. Ronnie's sister did my driver's license test with me when I was 16, I used to work with Jake Kings granddaughter as well. Lots of Mopar history here in Burlington!

Rumor is that one of Ronnie's personal Roadrunners is still sitting in a barn around here.

I think that's why Herb moved to NC from Memphis Tennessee.
