I'm looking for help. Taking an interior out is easier than putting it in. Removing it 4-5 years ago, now trying to replace it is taxing my late 50 something old brain. Car was pulled down 98%. the glass was left in the doors and qtrs., front and rear glass out for seals and headliner install.......all other stuff removed. Now I'm going to get into the install along with my "shop kids".... many more hands and they are greener than green!

AS the car sits now: Dash installed, doors installed with door cards and handles. qtr glass installed. Headliner out. front and rear window and all other interior parts out. aftermarket front buckets and shifter going in. stock back seat going back.

Please tell me what gets installed in what sequence????????? does glued carpet sections go on before or after install???? Does the interior manual cover order of installation?

All carpet has to go in. All windlace and door seals needs to go in too.

Any and all help appreciated!!!!!!!

I just looked at my manual and it does cover the removal and installation of the interior. As far as a sequence...It does cover the carpet installation instructions after the interior panel instructions. BTW...your floor looks great. One piece pan? I'm doing a 65 Barracuda also. Doing my floor with three pans and a spar tire pan. How about some pictures of your car?

I can tell you that all the sheet metal panels and pieces in the rear go on before carpet glue in the carpet, then install the stainless trim pieces over the seams. The rear seat brackets should also go over the carpet. I would fit everything first seats and all make sure no adjustment is needed, then pull it all out and do your carpet. If you are using new carpet, i use my little hand held torch and heat up a large nail and melt any holes needed for seats and what not in the carpet. Works clean and easy.

Anyone know how to install the rubber qtr. window channel seals?
Circle: can you make a copy of the interior pages and mail them to me in NJ?? I'm using a Dart manual, that doens't have interior sections........

more picts at this thread: 1965 Barracuda - 4 yrs in the works

The floors only had small patches under the feet., the rest are original. The car was parked for 20 - 30 yrs. on an asphalt driveway. I think I got it on its last gasp before the mopar graveyard.
I looked at your pictures. Really nice work. Your fire wall...did you strip it or blast it? I believe your car was the same color as the one I'm doing now.

can't use "real" paint as we are in a school building. Engine bay was degreased, hand sanded and sprayed with Pontiac light blue metallic engine paint. Its very close to original color. interior parts painted the same way (door tops and jambs).
floor painted with brush on rustoleum.

My tag reads DD1; which is med. blue poly. but the paint is definitely sun burnt. its original paint (obviously! lol )
Your's looks like a "light turquoise" color

Yeah, mine is KK1, (light blue) or (light turquoise)? My build sheet was found under the back seat in good shape.
