That’s what I’m talking about!
You are saving a worthwhile car that others possibly would have parted out.
I think I parted out 11 or 12 1968-1970 Chargers back in the eighties, looking back on it now I’m saving cars far worse and far less valuable and much less desirable. Back then it wasn’t a thought because the aftermarket wasn’t what it is today. We were building a few Chargers and needed parts and were able to find these cars back then for $20-$250 for entire cars. It was Illinois and most were rusty but by all means and today’s standards savable now.

I’m sure when it comes down to it you could very well have the same amount of labor and money wrapped up in this little notchback as the OP but that second picture shows you probably won’t ever sell it but if you did I’m sure parting it out won’t be an option nor should it.

This is the Brown 1974 Dart Sport 318 column shift auto I saved. Spent a buttload of time and money on, far more than it’s worth and now life has thrown a curve ball and it has to go so I can keep the ones I’ve owned since the 80’s. (that I parted so many to make whole.)
It was a fun build and it’s a super nice, super cool car that will allow someone to get into a very good Mopar Muscle Car at an affordable price. As so many you see listed, this is one of those “My loss is your gain” kind of situations.

I believe this is exactly what this posting is all about -
I’m sure I could make more money cutting the car into rust free pieces but I could never bring myself to do it. Especially after all of the long hours to make it what I had envisioned.
Let others have a go at a good car at a good price and keep em’ on the road!!!

If you look at it as a waste of money you shouldn’t have done taken it on in the first place. Preserve and enjoy the ride!
