Torsion Bar ajustment for front height of a 69 Dart!

There are both fine thread and course thread torsion bar adjusting bolts, how many turns depends on which ones you have.

A few other things to consider:

-if you lower the car a full 1” you’ll need a new alignment

-if you have stock torsion bars and bump stops and lower the car 1” with the adjusters your suspension will bottom out on the stops frequently

-bottoming out on the stops all the time will make the car ride and handle like crap

And as already noted, don’t make adjustments with weight on the suspension. Lowering the car with the adjusters reduces the amount of available suspension travel. If you lower the car significantly you must also install larger diameter (stiffer) torsion bars to manage the suspension inputs within the remaining travel. You can lower these cars substantially if you take the right steps, but doing it right is a lot more involved than just winding the adjusters out.
