I have a 70 dart which is being converted to a 340 4 speed car. Been working a long time and now assembling, ran into a problem I didnt expect. I installed a newer k frame with the new style, drop in, motor mount style. The motor mounts that came with the kframe dont fit my 1970 340 block. The mounts have holes 3 1/2 inches on center and the block is 3" on centers. Anyone know where I might find a mount which will mate my motor to what apears to be a 1974 kframe? Thanks in advance for your help on this.

space the rear of the mount with washers. Been adapted like that for years...

Any idea where I can get these? I am unable to see any details regarding actual dimensions on any adds where I have found what looks like it might work.

THose pics are just reference pics, I don't own that motor but have done this twice now putting a 340 into a 273 chassis.

I've been down this road already and unless you know for sure they have the 360 mount available, they probably don't. I've called the Mfg. and they apollogized for listing it but being the wrong size. I think Schumacher is the only one that makes the right size mounts for the 340 & 360. Rock also lists it but it is also incorrect. I managed a pair of 360 mounts at Carlisle last year.

I have a 340 block in the garage and a bunch of old spool mounts. We're talking about the driver's side. I'll check and see what I've got. I remember getting the wrong one at Autozone, I just didn't remember if it was the 318 they were selling me for the 360 or the 360 for the 318. The were wrong however.

Something else we have to thank Chrysler for. Different motor mounts for small blocks. Almost like an old Ford better idea.
