LED headlights?

Interesting that the heat sinks would make these weigh more than an incandescent sealed beam! One advantage of LEDs was supposed to be a greater portion of the input power being used to make light rather than heat, No? Even if they drew the same amperage, the LEDs should either be cooler, brighter or both.
LED lights use less power and probably produce less heat than an equivalent light output incandescent. However with an incandescent light you aren't worried about the heat effecting lamp life. Heat to an LED is the death of the "filament" or the phosphorus yellow goo over the diode. This really isnt car information but as an electrician I can tell you all about it.
