When you put it like that I would almost say it could work with a kid. Almost... But, How long do you plan to be at the show. It's a long couple days to 'just hang out' Not saying it couldn't work. Just that the odds aint in your favor. Most kids will turn into miserable little animals in that heat and not much for them to do after just a few hours. The cool cars thing wears thin after looking at a couple hundred in 90+ heat. My daughter really wanted to go several years ago as a teen. She was ready to pass out in the heat and went to hang out in the womans oasis tent for a while and I went to look at parts.. You won't have the option of leaving the kid on his own while you go elsewhere.
