The Flare - O - Flame looks like something I need in my life.lol

They must have learned that used oil trick from Mexico.
My Mexican (legal) workers have been doing that forever in rural areas.
Except the holes they dig are the size of a vehicle.
Oh, and these pits also contains their sanitary waste as well.

certainly Blue Print has some of their own vintage ads

I was fooled my JC Whitney twice back in the '70's. Fire-injector spark plugs were advertised to be so superior that after installation the idle speed would increase. The chrome shock absorbers were advertised to perform superior to other shocks because the chrome finish would contribute to a cooling effect on the shock oil. Not my experience after installation of such products.

Disposing of the oil reminded me of driving around Panama. The "mechanics" pulled the cars over storm drains and drained the oil right into them. I was shocked when I seen it once, but then the next place was the same and on and on.

I dont recall people digging holes before dumping their oil on the ground. They just dumped it in the woods.
An old trick was to spread it out on your gravel driveway, it will harden it like asphalt over time.
That first ad has to be a joke.

When I was a kid my dad would pour his drain oil along the chain link fence to kill the weeds.
He would say. Hell it came out of the ground it won't hurt nuthin.

Guaranteed to clear put the parking space behind you. You know those pesky show nazi's? Invite them to check out your original rear bumper.

thats what i always say
pour it into the ground, and some towel head will just pump it back up

Does anybody remember FUROL...short for fuel and road oil...used by states on their dirt roads to keep the dust down.

Back in the '60's and before it was paved asphalt, in the summer they used to oil the road in front of our cabin at Lake Tahoe, near the Brockway Golf Course about 1/2 mile from the water.

I know around here alot of ppl pour it on fence rows and driveways to kill the weeds and poison ivy.

I'm sending my order in to Monterey, Cali to get a lull-a-baby hammock. I could use a nice nap.

That’s not too far from me. Have a friend that grew up there and is still adamant the government just wanted the land. They spent millions of dollars cleaning it up and is now just a park on old Route 66

They still use oil on the rural highways in northwest Missouri. Don’t know if it’s motor oil (probably not) but we see “fresh oil/loose gravel” signs every time we visit the wife’s family out there.
