Mopars that are so ugly they hurt you eyes!

Yes, the '70 GTX/Road Runner were beautiful. But besides the roof, they shared no body panels with the '68-'69s. It was a one year only body. Maybe that's why I love them.

Interesting, I probably read that somewhere at some point but forgot, never really looked close enough to see the differences I guess. I'm not into the '68-69s a whole lot, front end is kinda boring compared to the '70 models. 1970 Road Runner was actually my dream car, I was looking for a '68-70 Plymouth B-body before ending up with my Duster because even back in 2009 they were too freakin' expensive, and my dad had given me a strict $3k budget for my first car (I was 17 at the time).

The 1971-74s aren't as good-looking but with the functional aero improvements, wider track and cheaper prices I'll probably end up with one of those at some point. My cousin is restoring a 1971 Satellite into a Road Runner clone over in Dubai, I did a LOT of work on that car getting it ready here before it was shipped overseas. Seeing that thing in dark purple (almost black paint) with a lot of the trim, grille, bumpers etc. removed I could see the raw form of the car and it really made me start to love them. Totally unique to anything else from the time, done up right they look like a cruise missile.

One of my favorite aspects that you can't really see because there is usually a license plate covering it is the small mini-grille under the regular grille, when you look at the car from the front and see that it really looks cool IMO.
