Man those guys on that 17 have a lot of room, they actually look comfortable.
I jumped a lot in the 80's in the 82nd and Ranger RGT. Some pretty wild stuff went on.
There were a lot of variables to consider on those big mass tactical jumps when they put a BN or a whole Regt out.
How long was the DZ, what type of aircraft, how windy was it. Of course how long was the movement after the jump. Always more twisted ankles when you had to move 20km....
Did have the rare total malfunction, entanglement or guys got drug to death on the ground.
I was surprised more people didn't get killed with all the moving parts.
Definitely a young mans game.
