Car was running great but it got a little hot the other day, around 230 degrees. Once it got hot i think it was vapor locking because it didn't want to start back up. I had to hold the pedal to the floor to get it to start and it stumbled and missed and then ran fine once it was started. Looks like fuel might of puked out onto the intake.

I think i have my cooling issue resolved. Car fires right up now with the normal two pumps of the pedal but it's missing and stumbling if you rev it up and won't idle unless you keep your foot slightly on the gas.

Any ideas of what the issue could be? I'm learning as i go here and this car is new to me. 440, rpm heads, quickfuel 750 carb, msd 6 and pro billet distributor, mechanical fuel pump.

Sounds like it may have popped into the intake and blown a vacuum nipple or vacuum line off. I'd be looking for a vacuum leak.

Which cylinder or cylinders are missing

If the carb puked you might have fuel in the oil. That causes all sorts of problems. Pull the dipstick and check it out. If the oil is clean, pull the plugs for a look.
