My initial post didn’t pertain to the OP’ers question but after a review, it may pertain to you.

Search for my buddy “ legendary number” John @ FASTBACK340 & his threads titled “Cuda Capers”

He did a 6 pack set up in his Cuda.

RIP to John, AKA FASTBACK340, an excellent and fun loving guy who will be missed. and is very much so now.

The way others including myself, the fenders have to be removed. Mine are already off so it was easy. If I need to replace one that gets worn out, I should be able to remove the rear splash shield to access the bottom mount. After I did the conversion I had the hood open on my 2013 Chsllenger and saw they used struts that were easily accessible up top at the fender.

What part numbers and brand are those struts? Thanks.

The struts are from a late 90’s - 2000’s Mitsubishi Montero rear hatch. I bought them from a company on eBay. Definitely happy with the way they work (and cleans up the engine compartment!)
