Good Morning Everyone. I got the shift linkage sorted out - I think. Seems to shift into all gears now, including park. Also, just looped the cooler lines as the prebent ones from Classic Industries wont be here until Monday. Will fill with fluid, water in radiator and oil in engine. Speaking of engine oil, what is the best way to pull the oil pump drive gear? I will pull the distributor for priming the oil system, but what is the best method to remove the gear and get it back where it was for timing? Also, the hex to spin the oil pump is 5/16", I believe. Anyone know for sure? It is a 440. Thanks to all and have a great morning.

Good morning. Time for a cup. You in?
I've got my big gulp sitting in front of me!

Im gonig to need it today. I have to hold training sessions for faculty and staff on how to operate our new work order system. Its a come when available type training.. Problem is no one will come and then once it goes live everyone will ***** they dont know how to operate the system. :BangHead:

Car crush! I love it.
You guys are killing me! I will admit all the excitement of going to paint and the last minute scramble making sure I have all body pieces has dulled my interest in yet another project. I am sure raccoon syndrome is right around the corner for me tho. We have some serious tornado like weather this morning. While it is certainly good for my front yard (pictured) it is spooky.

Preview of what is coming our way.

Psst @Sublime one @ZMan67S @toolmanmike, Here is some info for ya. The stop light just as you turned left leaving the fair grounds will now be the new entrance. It should be much easier to enter and leave the show next year. I drove by last night and the road has been started

I would bring it up to #1 TDC mark the dist. Remove distributor and note the slot orientation on the intermediate shaft. Then with long needle nose pliers and extending magnet pull the shaft. Prime the pump then put it back just in reverse order. And yes 5/16 is correct. And it’s a lot easier to do with the intake off
