I looked through the thread here and didn't notice which motor do you have? I put a transgo 3 shift kit in a 904 a couple summers ago behind a very spirited 318 and wasn't disappointed that much that I had lost my four Speed. That was the fully manual shift kit and I did use a B & M Quicksilver ratchet shifter on the floor. I know you didn't like the floor shifter but it was nice. The shift came very quick and snappy but not banging...
