Just wondering if anyone has run into these stipulations for a car show.

a) New this year: We are only accepting vehicles pre-1984.
b) New this year: We require a colour photograph of the vehicle you wish to register. Your
application will not be considered complete without a photograph.
c) New this year: We will not be accepting vehicles on the day-of the event. Your vehicle must be
registered prior to the event.
d) New this year: All applicants agree to participate in both the Show & Shine in Victoria Park and
the Cruise on King Street.
e) You agree to comply with the rules of the road as prescribed by law and understand burn outs
are prohibited.
f) You must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid Ontario’s driver’s license on the date of
the event.
g) Agree to sign a City of Kitchener Activity Agreement and Release before the day of the event.

Our local car show looks to be canceled. My guess is organizers got pinged by law enforcement for dumb ***** doing burnouts leaving the event, it only takes a couple to ruin things for everyone.

Understand the burnout thing. I was just pissed with Item D. That's why I was turned down didn't want to do the cruise.

I like the year requirement, I really don't want to see a bunch of brand new Challenger, Mustangs or Camaro's with K&N cold air packages and cat back exhaust's. I live about 15 miles from town and one day I ran out of fingers and toe's counting the above mentioned cars going to get a sandwich. And I find it funny that most of these know it all modern muscle car owners don't even know what a 70' 340 Dart is, from the tail light view! Anyway, Sorry got a little carried away, on with the regularly scheduled program.

Agree !

But (unfortunately- - correct terminology?) That is what the "younguns'" are about these days.
Luckily the two - ie old / young - kinda sorta get along together here locally. ( Concord N..C)
Haven't seen any real issues at cruise ins' that l have attended.
Most of the time the "old stuff" out number the "new stuff"

Ok so I help out at a Father’s Day car show , cruse Friday night , Sunday show&shine ,anything goes from old to new and anything in between , and my opinion only , love the old and new , we need the kids to be into cars ,even if there mustangs with cat back exhaust , cheers smokem if you gotem!

I entered a show at the cost of $25 and watched a brand new mustang with the window sticker in the window brought by a dealer win first place. It was a classic car show event. They always place a picture in the local paper with the winners name. This Ad had a sales advertisement for the dealer and a picture of the Mustang on the sales lot.
Its sort of like the Democratic way. Let them in and give them everything just to get your pockets lined.

Last year on the day of that show a farmer up the street had a sign.Classic cars Park here for $2.00 free Hotdog and soda. Live band and a contests. It was packed.

Hi Doug, just checked their site, Show n shine from 2-6. Parade at 7. Car show on King 8-10.
Do the show n shine and cut out after that.
Part B, the required color photo....do they want it autographed too?? Lol

Yes show and shine cuts out at 6-7 Previous years you could just do that or be at the front of the cruise and head home. Not anymore. They want you to do both.
