Ok guys...I need some help. I recently purchased a Demon 340 with original paint and somehow....somewhere down the line the fender decals were either removed orrrr never installed, which I hear was possible.
Anyhow, I purchased a pair of decals but now I see they were installed 2 different ways....if they made it on in the first place! One way way straight line Demon340 and the other way is Demon above and the 340 staggered below to the right, which is how it is on my tailpanel.
Any thoughts fabo??.....any original paint cars out there that you could post a pic of their location?? THANKYOU ALL!!!

Here are some pictures of original cars. It doesn't get more original then the first picture with "Mr. Norm"

Excellent! The Mr. Norms pic says it all. Decal on the rear is just like mine and the fenders are straight line. Thanks a million!!

Will you send me a picture of the drivers quarter with the fuel opening. Remember if you buy stripes some venders do not cut them correctly. Also left and right stripes are different. If you flop them you will get to close to the wheel opening. If you measure your you will see what I mean . They do not follow the center line perfect from front to back. I measured tons over the years. Buy your stripes now and mark them after comparing them with the ones on your car.

The OEM stripes had the fuel cap opening cut in you could not mix them up. That was the first stripe to go on the rest would be fitted from the quarter front the door and fender had a top and bottom also. They do not mark the repops. When they are on the correct sides they do not look correct at the back of the quarter stripes. Here are some more photos I took. Caps were always painted with the handles stripe color.

Note the top and bottom stripes are different widths and the upper stripe has more of an arc. If you put them on the wrong side the stripe will reach down to the wheel house to far.

Couple more for your file. every stripe has a top and bottom and left to right are different. OEM stripes were marked. I installed them back in the day. I learned the hard way Luckily the Dealer covered my mistake both times. All I got was a slap on the hand and I had to installed the new stripes on my time. Rothrock Motor Sales Pa.

Perfect! Every cap I ever saw was turned the same way as yours . Thats factory, Look at Norms.

Start looking at Demons on this sight it is rare to see one striped correctly. I restripe this Demon in 1979. It just came here to my son after all these years for a motor and front clip.

I might have a 71 cap if you need one. It has a small dent.
