In my opinion the reason it want fixed is the owner didnt want to deal with it and a shops potential bs.
Maybe he was a 1st time classic car owner and didnt want to deal with the mess? If that was me, I'd be sick....
There's that too. The guy who was hit in it may not have been a big Mopar nut.. just found a cool car to buy and cruise in. And he may not have the desire and or equipment to fix it.
