Dash pad, dash, metal part on doors is darker than the door panels. Door panels are the same blue as the armrest bases. Armrests are supposed to be the lighter blue. Looking for opinions on what's the closest match on Herbs parts chart.

Really hard to tell color looking at a picture of a part on a computer monitor. Maybe see if Herb's will send you samples, or at least a color chart? Then you have much closer to a direct comparison.

If there is a soft part, door panel etc, that is a color of blue, it is typically your only choice for a particular color. I would start there as paint can be tinted to match it much easier then the other way around.

Herbs #1178 /#338 BT BLUE 1970 is a very close match to the bright blue interior in my 69 cuda, and can be used on a variety of vinyl, plastic and fiberglass. But on second look your door panel looks like the light blue.

looks like that door panel has been swapped out///my car is a b5/b5/b5 all original on the doors

I think the #1180 listed as a 1968/70 color but they show the colors on different grains and that alone can change everything in a metallic

Just to add a bit of info...

Unlike modern cars, these older MoPars were notorious for mis match colors.
To have a few shades of blue on your interior was not uncommon. But the armrest should all be the same blue but may or may not match the door panels and the visors.

The Red on my 66 interior was like 4 shades of a close color red. But seats were darker red and the dash pad was a even darker red from the painted dash and door and rear inside panels. My car started out like a time capsule.

I've used both suppliers for paint and like Totally Auto better. Herbs was not the correct sheen.
Totally auto nailed it.

I dont see where totally auto has interior paints

Not sure about the best paint source but that armrest is to dark.

I used several sources to find what I thought was the right match.

Let's see if I can add a few shades of blue. The steering wheel is not original or correct.

how did you get your panels off?
With a crowbar and sledge hammer, if that doesn't work ya cut outer door skin off so ya can get to those pesky push clips.. Jk.

A good trim tool works, you don't wanna scratch anything , get the tool under where they clip onto the panel, then pry..so that you dont put stress on the 50 yr old fiber board panel and ruin it. Dont forget the screw or bolt at the latch handle and window crank alen

have any drawing or picture of the clip locations? Did you pull straight out or something other?

Start with window crank latch handle... then go to the lower corner 'end of the the door' and that's where the first one is or where I start. From there I think they're about every 6" to 8". When the corner is popped, you can look with a flashlight and see the others as you go. There one up the sides too...the panel slips under the chrome trim.

Couple large philips screws under armrest and the chrome door lever needs a 7/16" socket to remove the one bolt - 1/4" drive or speed handle easiest.
