Poor Barracuda, guy just bought it too....

I agree with you on fixing the car.. to a point. The other side if that coin is that car parted out may put 4 or 5 other Cudas on the road. It looks really nice.. but was it an original 340s matching car, or a slant 6 car redone, with massive changes and fixes? That has to come into play.
I'm currently tearing into my Cuda.. trying to figure out if it's too far gone for me to spend $20k on fixing all the rust issues, and wind up with a car worth $10k if I ever sell it (never happen, but I'll die someday).. or is it a parts car that would get me really far on a more-door I can drive right away, and keep someone else's car on the road too?

That’s just money, and honestly I think all that “Barrett-Jackson” BS is ruining this hobby. The difference between a slant 6 car and a 340 car is what? Torque boxes and a couple numbers on the dash. But yet how many /6 cars get scrapped because they “aren’t worth anything”. It was a Barracuda either way, and they aren’t making more.

Every one that gets parted is one less. If you’re into old cars for a profit, you’re in for the wrong reason.

Imo if a medical condition can hinder your driving you should loose your license! Classic car getting destroyed aside, what if that was your wife, son,or daughter he hit head on because he couldn't keep it in his lane? Someone could've been killed and next time they may.

Yeah, well by that reasoning every diabetic in the country would lose their license. Because that’s a medical condition that can render you unconscious or impair your ability if not properly managed. Same with seizures. Same with anything requiring pain meds. People get brain cancer and have seizures, sometimes that’s the very first symptom. You get the idea.

Sure, sometimes seizure patients lose their licenses. Diabetics too. But there’s a process, and sometimes an accident is an unwanted side effect of due process.

A sudden heart attack or stroke is a “medical condition” and there is no warning of when it will occur.

Never assume that it was a pre-existing condition.

Judgement without full infornation is nothing more than false accusation.

Exactly. There’s a crap load of people running around with undiagnosed medical conditions that could impair their driving at any moment. Accidents happen.
