I have a 2014 5.7 on a stand I will eventually be overhauling and swapping in my Duster but I haven't dove into it real deep yet. If it's a 2009 or later (those are all VVT) it could be a cam phaser issue. I doubt it's any MDS lifters collapsing because at worst you'd still have compression on 4 cylinders.
