Looking for some replacement style hoses both upper and lower for my '65 Dart. So far no luck with ones at the parts stores. Really don't want to go to flex hoses.

I don't know if this will help or not. Here is what if found from my local supplier's Some where a couple of days out.
65 Dart 273 2bbl or 4bbl
Gates 20168 upper hose with A/C
Gates 20386 lower hose with or without A/C
Gates 20416 upper with out A/C
Dayco 70306 lower with or without A/C

I got the Gates 20386 from Carquest and I think that one will work. Nobody seems to have the right upper yet. I'm heading back to O'Reilly now to see if they sent the right one.

Problem is, when you order online, you don't know what you're getting always. O'Reilly gave me 20168 for a/c. I don't have it, but I think I can make it work. I'll have to cut off both ends though.

When I worked at Advance Auto Parts I would take customers back and we would go through and look for a match. .

I always heard it's best to have a spring in the lower hose to keep it from collapsing.

@RustyRatRod has the info on where to get the spring. Fair warning, it's listed for a Feed Mustang. I put one on my hose when I replaced it.

My understanding of the lower hose debate is spring was used in the factory to aid in filling the cooling system. The process was to vacuum the cooling system down, wait to see if there are leaks then vacuum fill system.
I recently purchased an airlift cooling system filler. Its awesome.

Also, if your engine is running under correct cooling system pressure, its impossible for lower hose to collapse, unless your rad is severely blocked.
