/6 Timing has me stumped!

Just a thought about running with the timing mark about 120 degrees out.
Stated the motor is a fresh rebuilt. The slant six had several dampers, and timing covers, over the years. They must be used together, or the timing marks will not line up. Is it possible you have mismatched timing marks (covers) and dampers?

That's the whole purpose of all of us suggesting that he find true TDC. Without that, he'll never know "what's" wrong with it.
