I have my front end all disassembled and ready to put back together.
All parts have been cleaned and painted, have new rubber bushings installed.
I have the LCA pin in the hole with nut snug, and UCA bolted in snug as well, with new ball joints. I'm ready to start the rest of the installation , and after reading Greg's threadhttps://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/crazy-alignment-problems.427285/unread, I figured I should ask a few questions !
1 : What are the correct steps for installing the torsion bars?
On the ends of my bars I see an L on one, and a R one the other. Left and RT ?
I'M thinking after 50 years they may be twisted to some degree.

2 : So I'm thinking maybe swap them side for side and start twisting them back the other direction for 50 more !

3: Should I leave all the rubber bushing bolts loose till I get it all put back together and the ride height where I want it before tightening them down tight ?

4: Do the torsion bars slip thru the back side of Xmember , plug em into the LCA with the LCA hanging ?
What is the correct way to get the tension adjustment on the T bars and tightening of the LCA pin ?

That should do it till I get that far, Thanks for any guidance and suggestions. AL

Question #3....
LCA
Torque it down with the cars weight on it.

Also, I remember putting the LCA and the T-bars on together.

I don't think the T-bars were meant to be swapped left to right / right to left. I read that somewhere so that's what I did.

Torsion bars are side specific until you get to the very large size. Leave ALL bolts/nuts loose until you have ride height set.

Hey Jim, I watched some of your UTUBE vids on changing out the LCA bushings. Saved me some time and $$$ Thanks

Dont reverse torsion bars. They are 'seasoned' in that direction and if you swap sides, they will not hold their spring rate. If they are sagging, just adjust the bolts.

OK that's 3 against on the T bar swap, LOL sounded like a plan to me. OK no swap. Thats settled .

In the middle of same deal Al , some of it can really get aggravating like a hairline crack in passenger LCA...kinda neat to refurbish in kitchen floor with AC on blast..good luck I know it will be done right!!!

Nice! I was going to add, if you swap used torsion bars side-to-side there's a chance they'll break.
