anyone here using the Holley HP system with a Gen III? Having some wiring issues.

I a, not certain how to hange the wiring on the iac and tps, going from four to three wires on the wiring harness, and tps from three to two wires.

Holley was not a great help.

I am using the Holley harness. It comes with two additional connectors. And they are each one wire less than what is in the Holley harness. And doesn’t come with instructions on what to leave out.

You might try the Holley forum. I have not kept up, last I looked into this some time ago the plug and play if that's correct, for hemis was in a state of flux. Holley "as built" seems to favor mostly GM based sensors, maybe you could swap them?

Yeah, I am awaiting approval to join. Sheesh.

I hope I can get a straight answer. Already heard potential bad news on another site from a guy who was stating he couldn’t find a solution with the throttle body for mopar. Here we go.......

Hopefully the smart guys there can help me out.

Would a 4 wire TPS from a GM work if the voltage range was correct? Not sure about the IAC, but see what holley uses that harness for, and adapt one. Just my opinion lol

Like I said, I have not been keeping up with changes. Here is what I found, early and late. Scroll down on both pages, there are various pdf documents

Early

Holley EFI 558-115 Gen III Hemi Main Harness, Early, w/ TPS and Idle Air Control Connections

Late

Holley EFI 558-116 Gen III HEMI Main Harness , Late, w/TPS and Idle Air Control Connections

Those schematics show the harness and what it is, but not how you adapt the four and three pin to a three and two pin, if I am wrong please school me as I am new to EFI.

Thanks!

I am researching that. A dude on another site says it may work.

Just irritates everyone as this was a plug and play......

i run a ford flanged throttle body from accufab. i have the 116 harness. i ran into the cam and crank sensors have the same damn female end on them. which doesnt ******* plug into the crank sensor due the the tiny little notch inside it. so i have to change that around.
holley has an end kit for each sensor, iac and tps. use holleys iac and ford for tps is what i am running. you can also tune around an iac it isnt required to run or work. just a little more of the idle and start tables need more work is all.
ditched the mopar **** cuz nothing is on the shelf at any parts stores and ill be damned if i get stranded somewhere cuz of it.

Turbo, the Holley harness plugs right into the ford IAC and TPS? After reading up on this crap I think I am better off with a Ford or Chevy TB.

Got straightened out this morning by Rich(Fastman EFI). Helped me out a lot as I am very ignorant of this stuff. Ordered a Holley IAC and an adapter for it.

Are you talking about using the factory throttle body? The holley hp cannot do drive by wire.

What are you using for a throttle body?

I bought the same TB since I'm using a 518 trans. Are you using the 4.7L Jeep IAC sensor as recommended by BBK? If yes, can you tell me how to wire it to the Holley ECU?

Efi source sells an adapter to run a 4 bolt LS cable throttle body on a late model hemi manifold. Then you have GM sensors which Holley seems to favor.

Well I have $500 invested in the BBK w/sensors so I'd like to make this system work. I've rewired the TPS so I'm wondering if there are any ideas for the IAC rewire.??

Raskull, I am in the same boat. I was sold a BBK, it doesn’t make things quite so plug and play. I researched the adapter mentioned above, I may bite the bull it and do it with another TB. I thought I had a solution for the bbk a few months ago. Turned up false. In Afghanistan right now, so have to wait about two months to wrench more.
The IAC can be sent to one of the four inputs. Then programmed as an IAC I believe. But then you lost an available input.

Some photos of how I've solved the TV cable linkage from a drive-by cable throttle body to the earlier 518 transmission. Still looking to solve the Holley four wire IAC plug to the two wire Jeep IAC sender in the BBK throttle body.

Raskull,

I am ready to bite the bullet and get a throttle body. I am kind of pissed I was sold a TB with the HP that doesn’t really work plug and play. At all. I am trying to figure out if an LS or Ford Tb will be better. Won’t be back to the states for another three weeks or so. I want those harnesses in my hand so I can see which sensor will work. I thought I had an answer with a BBK IAC adapter, not so much. I have little time in the states, so I am willing to pay to get this crap figured out and complete.

Im running HP but I used the FAST LS style throttle body with GM sensors and the correct harness, didnt have any issues. Hope you get it straight cause its really a very awesome system.

Steve, when you say correct harness, what part number are you referring to? Only two main harnesses that I am aware of.

HP Harnesses - Holley Performance Products
I am using an early one.

Thanks for the information on the LS TB, that is the way I have been leaning.

Yeah it depends on your sensor setup. And forgive me if I am not quite understanding the issues, but all I had to do was pick either early or late design on the cam and crank sensor set up. The throttle body already had the GM sensors that matched up to the wiring harness. I didnt have to splice or rewire anything. I was very plug and play, nothing like the FAST system i was running prior. The throttle body is a very nice addon thou, just throttle cable bracket and exit point not the best for the HEMI engine.
