Getting my dashboard done today!

I picked up some re-chromed parts today, they look unbelievable! I went to drop them off at the body shop, and found the dashboard almost done! This is like Christmas in July!!

Where did you get or who did your dash pad. It looks great and I need to fix the one in my 66 Cuda.

It is one of those dash pad covers from Dante's mopar parts. Fits great.

Busy. Work and family are keeping me from doing much car stuff. But I’m about 70% done with the ‘65s steel work. I’ve been sayin I want it in primer by the end of the month since April. Prob won’t be until August at this point.

OK, so, I am thinking that I might leave the 273 that is in my Plum Crazy Dart, in there and just clean up the motor and maybe install little tidbits like electronic ignition, 4-barrel manifold and a 600cfm holley, new wires and cap, and other easy stuff like that. Please give me your feedback! I have a very nice 273 that was rebuilt by a fellow member here on FABO, but that one might have to stay in my white 64 GT to be sold after my Plum Crazy one is done. Also, should I keep the pushbutton or switch to a 4-speed, like I did on the other one? I would love to hear from any or all of my fellow FABO brothers and sisters on this.

Leave the button auto (we're all getting older) and stick a 360 in it. You'll need a pricey convertor with the early stator and later hub but that's not a big deal. A stock ot similar 360 will exceed the 273 with bolt ons in terms of butt feel. Even with the factory 273 manifolds and single exhaust. That's what I'd do.

I got a call this morning! Today is the day! The paint is going on today, I should have pics by tonight. I will post tomorrow. Plum Crazy with a matte black stripe in between the side body moldings!

Finished clearcoating at 10:00 last night. I can't wait to get back home from vacation! Hahahahaha

Looks great like the purple. The 273 is fun little engine I have a 1965 Dart 273hipo-904 4 barrel LD4B intake 8.75 edelbrock 600cfm. It was originally a 2 barrel car was a nice upgrade with new engine. Dustin

That looks really nice! Sounds like you have yourself a nice setup! Looks like you upgraded the brakes also. Smart move, the faster you go, the harder to stop.

Now I just need to wait for the 6 coats of paint and clearcoat to cure, and then it will be wet sanded and buffed out to remove any imperfections in it. Then the fun part, installing all of the moldings, bumpers, interior parts, and carpet and seat covers. Should be on the road by the end of August!
