I can take a call today or Monday. Looking forward to getting one going for you !

Hey Johnny.

Thank you for taking time on your day off to talk to me.

I know I should wait till Monday but I got another questuon.

Can you guys powder coat?
I'm looking to get the intake powder coated.

Also about the warranty, if I buy the engine the warranty goes with the engine, correct?
This is for a customer so its important that the warranty goes to him and not to me.

Thanks again.

@CudaChick1968

Can you PM me your number?

I may need some work from ya.

Thanks!

Hey buddy,

Warranty follows serial #. So no issues there at all. We dont powder coat. I can paint the engine blue, orange, or black, and could probably order the black edelbrock coated intake for the cost of the part if the guy wanted it. Bout my only option there though.

Did a lot of shopping around for a crate motor. Saw BPE's 408, and was impressed by the specs. So I started asking around... in here, in garages, in part's houses, Mopar fans with their own cars, and "Everyone" said that BPE has a great engine, good quality and a reputable Customer Service Dept. And I'm not talking Joe Blow mechanics, I asked Professionals. Not one of them had anything less than 100% positive about BPE! So I bit the bait and bought one. Boy am I happy I did. At 445+ HP and 500+ ft/lbs of torque, I am not the least bit disappointed in the power output. Now Cheaper isn't always the best deal and most expensive isn't always the best deal. But the BPE 408 is reasonably priced and made of high quality parts and materials.

It has more power than my 70 Duster will ever need on the street. Had to go with 50 Series Race Tires to get some serious traction in the back, could use slicks on the track, but the engine has enough power to use it strictly for racing. Depends on what type of headers you put on it. I put TTi's 340A's on it, they are three step headers which are for 525HP engines. You can always trick out the ignition, put a single plane on it, high output fuel pump, high flow water pump and Therm. Trick out the trans, which they also have built to fit the motor, which I ordered, which I am happy with, and get the right gear/tire diam for your car. I just used an Eddy Air Gap, 750 on top, but you could go with a larger cfm. I did use the high output fuel pump and high flow water pump and therm, but right now I have 3:55's in the diff, which maybe getting changed soon.

I wanted a big block in my Duster, but you know how much cutting and chiseling that is... This 408 slid right in!!!

The Customer Service is 100% the best. Johnny will help all that he can. This is truly one of the best buys in my life, Customer Service wise and Quality of the Item bought. I will be buying another one whenever the bearings get thin.

Thank Johnny, and thanks BPE!
Bob
