I disconnected the positive cable from a fairly new battery to do some interior work with doors open.
Reconnected and nothing.
No power to the dash gauges, lights , starter.. nothing.
Battery has a charge
Repeated process a few time. Same nothing result.
Positive and negative clean.
Positive has a crack in the cable female terminal end. Starter relay seems orig to 67.
I can start with a new pos cable but thought I would throw up here first.
Thanks all.

I would not use a terminal like that period! Maybe to get home only. Check your fusible link!

When I bought my son's 71 Swinger, I stopped for gas after I bought it. Got gas, then nothing, no lights, no crank, nada. Had it towed home
and the next day my son moved the positive cable and power. This was 20 years ago and at that time new cable was available from the dealer.
I have a feeling the guy I bought it from had the same problem and that is why he sold it.

Thx.. for sure replacing tomorrow.
Unplugged the fusible link.. plugged back together, connected and power came back.
Still s mystery and will start with the terminal
Thx. Not solved but on a good path

The problem is under your thumb. Really, those clamp replacements give trouble after a while.
