This is why I won't buy a FBBO gold membership

Wow I started a cat fight.

I like all cars GM, Ford, Mopar!! My first car in 1972 was a 69 Coronet R/T My second car was a 69 Coronet R/T. Then I bought a 70 340 swinger for work. I had my share of Pontiac GTO's and Firebirds. Camaros and Chevelles. I don't have room on my fingers and toes to count just the Road runners. The red & white 70 GTX that is usually in the survivor tent was mine as was the blue 69 Coronet R/T conv.

I am 63 yrs old and found through the years that new owners of B and E body cars that never owned anything else do stand with there arms crossed over their chest . It is the people that enjoy the car hobby that are great people. There are some that just buy a car and don't appreciate what it takes for some of us to put one together for the love of the hobby.

You can tell those who love their cars and have pride in what they built or worked hard for. They will talk your ear off on what they have done to their car. And then there are those who have a mind set of LOOK AT ME! I would love to have one of my B-bodies back. They are out of my price range at this time. I never did like driving E-bodies and I have had every motor in one except Hemi.

There's nothing that compares to a track pack option in a 68-69 b-body. I drove one other car in 1971 that really impressed me A 1970 Torino Cobra shaker hood car. That 429 was really a power house and RPM's through the roof. Street racing was what I did. There was one car I could never get around if he hole shotted me . 68 cyclone 428 automatic. he was my Nemesis on the big end.

I had a 65 tri power 4 spd. GTO. I liked that car more than the other GTO's I had. There was not much difference than the 66 or 67's I had. Looking out over the hood was the same. But the dash was more compact and I liked the squared off roof . My 64 had a cooler looking hood but the power glide was depressing.

There are guys that only ever owned one car and know everything because they read it somewhere. I know a couple guys in my area like that. They know every number on a car for any part. They still don't have the experience of driving those numbers like some of us old car guys did. Knowledge is nothing without the feeling of how they really were when they were new with the bias ply's they came with. You have to drive all the brands to appreciate the muscle car era.

My Corvette was like My Harley and a E-body, An ego trip and that is it.

I love all cars but the A-body crowd is a different breed that I enjoy being a part of.
