How much stroke? This sounds like a question for Andy F, there are more dynamics at play in a mega cube big block than just bottom end clearance when it comes to keeping up with the oil demands on the suction side of the oil pump. Many times, external line oil systems are used to deal with G forces and to ensure that the pickup is always submerged more than a lack of clearance in the bottom end.
