Hi. My name is Ted and I'm the very definition of "noob". Not only to the forum but to Mopar. Over the years, I've had a slew and a half of cars but never a Mopar. Figured it was time to change that. I love building/tinkering so I didn't want a spit-polished work of art that represented someone else's labor or skill. I also didn't want a numbers matching "one-of-XX-left" etc, because at this point I wouldn't know an R/T from a T/A. I know what a hemi looks like tho..lol.

So the hunt started early April. I settled on a Dart and it had to be a 67-69. Nothing against the newer ones but a fella has to start somewhere and narrow the field. I found a 69 Dart GTS on 6/20 that is missing it's original engine, needs a bit of cosmetics and is an original LA car that never left the state. Bought it sight unseen, got it home and to my surprise not a speck of rust anywhere. Very happy with the car. Runs like a top. Lot's of good goodies. A few issues I can have a blast fixing. Ok. Maybe more than a few.

I appreciate the groups patience as I learn. I tend to read/search and absorb before I ask questions but as my dad taught me, never turn down any form of education. Shut up and listen.

Thanks for your time and sharing your knowledge. I'll get a build thread going and chart some progress as the car evolves into my car.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Mopars, and FABO. I’d say you made a fine choice as your first Mopar, but I have a feeling it won’t be your last. They tend to grow in you, and multiply! Glad to have you with us!

Welcome. Nice first entry.

As you can see. I also learn just about the same lesson from my father and grandfather. I've been here almost 5 years (and lurked before that) with less than 500 posts.

Welcome from the NW section of the Keystone, I have a long time friend that lives in York. Great find getting the GTS, will be interesting following it's progression.

Thanks all for the welcome! I've started on a build thread and I just need to take a few pictures of the "patient" and I'll post it up with a link. Should be fun being my first Mopar and provide me with more than enough work to occupy my evenings/weekends! Obviously, drain my play-money bank account as well!

That's some truck Bob...more like a work of art!!! Thanks and I'll be following!

:welcome:
Your read/search, then ask questions method will probably benefit you the most..........as 90% of the answers are already here somewhere....lol. I find you learn so much more by searching first, as you gain a more in-depth knowledge of the subject you are searching for.
