The open hose you have laying on the valve cover coming from the intake needs to be blocked off. I would disconnect the hose from the intake and put a vacuum cap over the intake fitting. The way you have it now is a huge intake manifold vacuum leak. I would be surprised if the engine idles at all. If it does, it has to be ROUGH. Plug it off at the intake fitting since you don't have power brakes.
