Wilkesboro NC slant six race

Last years "Big Race" was Clay City, and this year its in Wilkesboro. We have 2 weeks to get ready to roll into Wilkesboro for our big race of the year.
This is going to be a first because we are going to run "Four" races in two days!!!!!!!! We will get our moneys worth this weekend. We have the two Wilkesbororaces plus one rain out race from Mason Dixon and one rain out race from MotorMile that got rained out last weekend.

The Wilkesboro big purse race will again be sponsored by Tim Harrold also Rick will have the purse and winners medallion from Mason Dixon and Lou will have the purse and trophy's from MotorMile, altogether we will be racing for a lot of money and bragging rights.

Race details--- Friday July 19th gates open at 5:30 testing and qualifying start at 6:00.
Entry fee Friday-- pay $20.00 at the gate. This will cover both races on Friday. Pay me $10.00 per race Friday for a total
of $20.00.

Saturday July 20th. gates open at 2:00 with testing and qualifying to follow at 4:00.
Entry fee Saturday--- exactly the same as Friday. Your total entry to the track and me will be $80.00 for both days.

Note: the money to me will go into the year end Banquet and or points fund.

Don't miss our famous Slant Six car show at EMPIRE CHRYSLER DODGE RAM JEEP on Saturday morning at 9:30.

We will be serving food at the track on Saturday for all the Slant Six family, so come hungry.

I'm heading up that on Saturday! Is there any entry fees for the car show? I may clean up the Dart and try to bring her.

There is no fee for the car show. Tim Harrold, owner of Empire CDJR, has sponsored the Slant Six race for about 20 years. He makes room in front of the dealership showroom for the slant six cars to be on display. There are usually some breakfast snacks, and drinks. Try to get there on the early side, as the show is only during the morning, then everyone gets ready to head for the track
 
Does this mean there’s no clay city show this year
 
Race Weekend 6 Clay City, KY – (New Track Name Kentucky Dragway) Rob Simmons - September 7th & 8th - Friday the 6th TNT 1/4 Mile Track - Possible 1/8 Mile Race Sunday. CONFIRMED

Have no idea, if this is a "MOPAR" meet with a car show or not. But we will have a Slant Six race.
 
I bet that'll be a goodun. I'd love to go.......but oh well. LOL
 
Thanks guys went to the clay city show and race last year and really enjoyed it
 
Ha! My poor Valiant hasn't recovered from last years Clay City race but it's going to Carlisle in 2 days. Picking up parts from Jamie Passon and Wayne Brewer to finally rebuild a 4 speed for it.
I did put a tach in it last night though.
 
Didn't make it to the car show but saw the races. Got some videos for anyone who couldn't make it.

Looks like a Mopar only event.
With a show and swap.
I'm going to make every effort to come this year.
As long as it isn't pouring down rain, I should come.
