Are my expectations too high?

I have a 73 Duster that used to have a 380hp crate motor in it. It had a 9 inch converter, 3.91 gears, Holley 750dp, and a race weight of 3310lbs. The best it ran was 12.30's.
Very nice!
Thanks for the reply. The interior of the car retains the original heater box still. I am running bucket seats and console in it but no back seat. So it’s still inline with factory weight I suppose.
I’ve done a few test hits with the car on the street and hit hooks pretty well.
The engine revs pretty quick to 5500 but falls a little flat beyond that. Seems pretty normal compared to dyno results of that engine. It’s defininetly a different animal compared to the LA 360 that used to reside between the fender wells.
So your a little heavy. Not really a big deal. The one thing I noticed about the 360/380 is that it ether could use ported heads and/or a RPM intake. I don’t think the as cast stock heads are doing the engine any favors power wise.
