Hello Members. I am nearing the end of my 65 Dart Revisited II build, and today I poured the fluids into the engine, radiator, differential, PS, and transmission. Everything was a go, but the speedo cable leaked where it comes out of the transmission. The leak is where it turns from the sleeve that bolts up to the transmission where it transitions into that wrapped cable material. Is there a way to fix the leak in anyone's experience? I have three, but the other two have a small hose clamp wrapped around at the same point, so I suspect those are not good either. Just a thought on a repair would be helpful. Thanks for the help. sgrip65

I’m not aware of any easy repair that lasts other than maybe a new undamaged cable.

Don, Are there any sources for a new cable? I have been searching the internet, and I came up blank. I see one for $150.00...or there abouts, and a bit steep for me. I see repair kits, but I would guess they would be hit and miss. Any pointers on a source would be great. Thanks. sgrip65

Fwiw when I dealt with Silver Sport Transmission regarding getting a speedo cable for my 67 dodge they mentioned they could get one made up to whatever length needed. Might be worth a try?
