Strange noise

So I took my 65 Barracuda out for its first small road trip. Everything ran as it should except for a weird noise coming from the steering column area. Sounded like a faint wind noise even when the car wasnt moving. Would go away if the wheel was turned slightly. Any thoughts?
 
Does the car have power steering? Could be whine from the pump.
 
Vacuum leak that your hearing through the column because your missing the column seal? Unless you have one hell of a fan ? Look in the mirror and see if your hair is blowing around.
