I have hauled dignitaries in a few parades, I don't like people sitting on back of seat, so I threw together a bench to replace the back seat for parades. Going to try it out tomorrow.

I would think with a nice cushion it would be even more comfortable as well then up on the edge of the backseat..

why not just haul them in the back of a pickup on apple crates. If they can't respect the car, no ride.
My motto was always no back seat riders. better yet, hay bales and hand them a toothpick and straw hat. lol

Going to put some moving blankets on it. I used to haul dignitaries in parades quit often. Had one woman go off on me because I said I preferred she not sit on the back of the seat. Another time I hauled our state representative, he said he would just as well ride up front in the passenger seat.

Great Idea!

If you were in California you would probably need seatbelts, and a liability waiver!:poke:

A woman went off on you because you told her what not too do in your'e car? Oh man the fun I would have had with her, I wouldn't have cared who she was! By the way, good idea. Nice Respectful people get a pad, Arrogant Morons get the wood, slivers and all!

I could stick a few screws up through the bottom, then decide based on their attitude if the get a cushion. Used it today and it worked great, had an adult and two kids on it. More comfortable for them and less worry for me. Thought about using this as a prototype, but will only use it maybe twice a year.
