Anybody running this gauge? What sending unit are you running with it, the one they offer with all the extra fittings? Or did you use something else for much cheaper? Looking at over $30 for the sender with fittings I don't need, vs $10+/- for a stud type short sweep sender. Damn chislers!

I tried using an OEM one I have, gauge needle registers 275° with power to it. I need one with different resistance or whatever specs. If I have to I'll buy the SW one, was hoping to be able to just pick one up cheaper at the box stores. Not so easy I know
 
If you know the resistance range of the gauge you have, finding a compatible sending unit should be straightforward.
 
I'm just curious why does it read 200* ? Old school SW gauges read the act temp, does that gauge have a 12V connection ?
 
Not sure why its parked there, it has three terminals: 12v from ign switch, ground, and sender.
