My Dart Swinger Project!
Got a little more done this morning. The rearend is out the driveshaft is disconnected I got the old brake hose off luckily I got it off without damaging the brake line I'm gonna reuse the line from there to the firewall and replace the hose which has to be done anyway with the new rearend. Started cleaning on the bottom some disconnected the fuel sending unit. And sprayed the jbolts down with kroil oil I'm gonna start pulling the tank tomorrow. I managed to also fix my lawnmower with one of the old drum brake springs. I broke the return spring last week when I was mowing and my blades wouldn't turn off as I was taking apart the drums a light turned on hey this should work to fix my mower! Haha and it did work very nicely.
The bad news I found more rust underneath it appears to be on the hump in the rear floors the back of the car is full of parts and junk right now I'm gonna clean it out and inspect it from the inside I guess eventually I will cut it out and patch it up! I need a passenger side front floor pan too! I will probably eventually replace them all the right way with the correct replacement floor pans but for now it's just cut out the rust to keep it from spreading and patch the hole!
One question. Does that undercoating look original or is that something someone sprayed on after it was bought?
