The Sir-con is what we tested gauges with. Handy tool at the dealer. My boss go it when he worked at the Pontiac store. We had a Vat 40 as well. I think they are the finest carbon pile charging system testers ever built.

How do you test a tester? My sister has one of these ones.
I didn't look, it was a 4 barrel wasn't it? A2 2 barrel with the 5th digit in the vin being a F would be a 361 and a G would be a 383. Tim gave me the numbers but not the vin.

You had a impressive display and are becoming the "go to guy" for distributors. I sent a couple guys up to your area that were looking.
Have to compare it with a known good tester.
Against a calibrated load bank or a known good one hooked up at the same time. PIA if you don't have either.

Did you see the guy on the other side of the swap meet advertising his distributor rebuilding service? All he had was a chalk board, said “we rebuild distributors cheaper than the other guy but with new parts, not 50 yea old junk”?

Ya, rebuilt with new junk parts. Hoppy's 50 year old NOS "junk parts" are 5 times the quality.

You do need a new display board. It was sagging in the middle from all the weight. Probably a 1000 pounds of iron on that board.
