Finally got a new carburetor

What you got ain't a carburetor. Might as well be a siphon. THIS is a carburetor.

Quick update (because work is busy today). Due to many unforeseen circumstances, I did not have time to do testing with both carbs Friday. I ran the 950 this weekend and it ran the same as the 750 that I built (looking at previous data with very similar air)…which is good for a baseline. The AFR was 0.87 lambda at WOT which is on the lean side of max power, but still good. Will probably jet it up for the next race (this weekend). Overall, was hoping for big numbers, but was realistic knowing I tuned the crap out of my 750, so It would be hard to beat it out of the box. The 950 will probably get faster with tuning, its just going to take a little time. Eventually I will do a TnT night and do back to back runs to compare, but I will probably wait till it is a little cooler out so the starting line is not an issue.

Air was hot and humid this weekend, car was running 6.67-6.69. My tires are old…60’ not what it used to be. Had some slight traction issues, had to dial for it…went 3 rounds Saturday, lost to myself (gave the stripe back).

The race Friday was a freeking circus and a joke…and a bad joke at that. I will probably never do that race again, which is too bad because I like what the promoter is trying to do….the execution was VERY poor though. I might try it again if they can get their crap together (really long story).

Unless you post the Venturi diameters, the 750/950 doesn't mean a thing.

I can show you a carb with a much smaller Venturi than either carb you are talking about that will flow about the same.
